Acceptance of terms

By installing the Detab extension, accessing detab.ai, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use Detab.

These terms apply to all users — free and paid. Additional terms may apply to Team plan subscribers.

The service

Detab is a browser extension and web application that lets you save, organize, search, and sync browser tabs. The core features — saving tabs, organizing into collections and spaces, and local backup — are free. Cloud sync, advanced features, and collaboration tools may require a paid subscription.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.

Your account

To use cloud sync, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account credentials secure.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access at contact@detab.ai.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Detab to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the service in ways not intended by its normal operation.
• Transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content through the service.
• Use the service in a way that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure (e.g. automated bulk sync requests).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Paid plans and billing

Detab offers free and paid plans (Pro and Team). Paid plans are billed through Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.

• Billing cycle: subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• Refunds: we offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of a charge. Contact contact@detab.ai to request one.
• Price changes: we will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Your data

You own your tab data. We don't claim any rights to the content you save. You can export everything at any time in multiple formats directly from the extension — no account required.

By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your data for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Intellectual property

The Detab name, logo, and software are owned by Detab.ai. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You may not use the Detab name or logo without our prior written permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

Detab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of Detab is at your own risk.

While we take data integrity seriously, we recommend keeping your own backups of important tab data using the export feature. We are not liable for any loss of data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Detab.ai and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, profits, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Detab shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Detab.ai is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or via a notice in the product. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
